Yesterday was our very first “Jadon Day,” the day we celebrate Guatemala and Jadon coming home!!
I made a “South of the Border” meal (I didn’t have time to attempt a new Guatemalan recipe) and we gave him his first present from Guatemala. This year it was little shoes. The shoes barely fit him and it is cute to watch him “ice skating” around when he hits the hardwood. But he thinks it’s pretty hilarious. The shoes were HUGE when we bought them and we never thought he’d fit them. We were definitely wrong.

We also had authentic Guatemalan marimba music playing in the background. Usually when I play that music, there is dancing involved. It’s really fun.
Here’s the spread. We don’t let the dog, Sierra in when Jadon eats anymore, can you tell? We prefer Jadon to eat his own food instead of providing for those less fortunate in the household.
Jadon was a little excited. I think he knew it was all about him. I love his smile in this picture.

I enjoyed reading your journey to bring Jadon home & about your 1st Jadon Day. I also hope to be able to adopt one day. Jadon is the cutest little thing! The pic above in the new shoes is just precious.

I haven’t checked this site for about a month- and I’ve missed so much! I can’t believe how absolutely adorable Jadon is in these pictures. I can’t wait to get to drive across TOWN to LOVE ON HIM!!!!
