I value learning from different people’s perspectives. Sometimes I’ve been weighed down by people out to prove that adoption isn’t the answer to the evil of poverty.

Monday was our Embassy appointment day. That’s the day you go to the US Embassy where they put their final stamp of approval on everything. It really seems bigger than it is, but it is the only thing us adoptive parents can actually watch happen, so it is a pretty big day.

Since our appointment at the US Embassy was at 7am on Monday morning, we received Jadon from Rosalyn on Friday. Which was unfortunate for our wallet, but much more fortunate for family bonding.
